Seattle Voting Propositions

On November 8, 2022, Seattle residents get to vote on a change to the voting system itself! There’s a lot written about that change, but it quickly bogs down in details. Here you can see what a ballot would look like under each method, for easy comparison.

Plurality Voting

Vote for one:

Candidate
⬭ Bruce Harrell
⬭ Lorena González
⬭ Colleen Echohawk
⬭ Jessyn Farrell
⬭ Arthur Langlie

If you like this kind of ballot, you should vote against Propositions 1A and 1B.

Approval Voting

Vote for all you approve of:

Candidate
⬭ Bruce Harrell
⬭ Lorena González
⬭ Colleen Echohawk
⬭ Jessyn Farrell
⬭ Arthur Langlie

If you like this kind of ballot, you should vote for Proposition 1A.

Ranked-Choice Voting

Vote by ranking candidates of your choice:

Candidate1st Choice2nd Choice3d Choice4th Choice

Lorena González
Colleen Echohawk
Jessyn Farrell
Arthur Langlie

If you like this kind of ballot, you should vote for Proposition 1B.

My Opinion

Personally I want a ballot that lets me express my preference the best. That is Ranked-Choice Voting.
